While watching the films, we tried to pay attention not only to strictly mountaineering aspects. Emotions, which accompany people in their struggle with nature were of great importance. A day spent on a travel between various cultures put us on the edge.
Sculpture made by Youth Jury from Art School in Zakopane
Jury wants to underline the high artistic quality of many films presented in the competition and the unique atmosphere of the 5th Meetings with Mountain Film. The organizers of the festival successfully managed to combine film screenings with the presentations of works of other artists – like paintings, sculpture and photography. Meetings with artists and people of the mountains constituted another revelation of this superb cultural event in Zakopane.
